November Minutes
Before the meeting was called to order, Ann Boes did a program on the atmosphere. She tried to show us some videos off the internet, but we decided to reschedule because of computer difficulties.
Jason called the meeting to order at about 2:30 p.m. Then he led the group in pledges because Trent was not there. After this, Kaia called roll and collected dues, because Brianne was not there. Then Kaia read the minutes. There was no treasurers’ report.
Project groups
Jason, Kaia, and Ari talked about the weather balloon and near space capsule. Kaia read our statement of purpose, and Ari showed the group a diagram of the capsule. Jason just talked in general about it.
Old Business
Ari told the group about the time, date, and place for ice- skating. We will go to the Kirkwood ice- skating on November 18. The group also decided that since the group is low on funds, we will pay for ourselves.
Next, we discussed money for people that attended the YMCA of the Ozarks. We owe the Ganns and Candace some money.
We need to discuss the stickers when Trent is here.
The club signed a thank you note for Jamie Hubert.
New Business
Jason told the group about helping the food pantry on the 20th of November.
Matthew brought of the subject of the group going camping again, and Holly said she knew it was booked on the weekends, but we could probably go on a weekday.
Kaie told us about the Christmas party, and we discussed decoration, which is going to be a fiesta theme, food to bring which is finger foods, and budget. We decided to spend $50 on the Christmas party.
Demonstrations
Bailey and Jadyn Wood did an excellent science experiment on the diaphragm.
The Koehns provided snacks.
